Tenitra Batiste is a Sportscaster who provides sideline coverage for the WNBA and NBA G-League. She provides color commentary for ESPN college football, provides sideline coverage for ESPN college basketball, and serves as a host on ESPN Radio. Tenitra is also a host and anchor for the Tegna LockedOn Sports national podcast network, and is a Guest Analyst for Tegna Affiliate WXIA. In addition, Tenitra has covered major sports events such as the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Weekend, the Celebration Bowl, and the NCAA Men’s and Women’s basketball tournaments. She is also the former In-Game Analyst for the Atlanta Hawks, and previously served as Sports Anchor, Reporter, and Host for BHSN and WZGC.
Tenitra was one of only 15 leaders in the Atlanta metro area selected as a 2023 Visionary for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She was also the recipient of the 2023 Atlanta Women in Sports Award, and was honored as a Women’s History Month Power Woman by Georgia State Representatives
Erica Thomas and Park Cannon in 2022. A proud Xavier University of LA (XU) alumna, Tenitra has given much of her time, talent, and treasures to her alma mater over the years. She was recently honored as a 2022 recipient of the University’s Spirit Award and selected to usher in the inaugural class of the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame. She has served as President for both the Houston and Atlanta Alumni Chapters; was National Alumna Chair for the 2021 Homecoming Experience and Fundraising Campaign; helped Xavier raise nearly 1MM in a one-day fundraising effort each of the last five years; serves as a mentor for many of XU’s students; and serves as an Ambassador for the Department of Athletics.
She was initiated into the Gamma Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; is a Diamond Life member of her beloved sisterhood; and is currently a member of the Atlanta Suburban Alumnae Chapter. Batiste is also a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, was chosen as the Correspondent to serve on the church’s 2023 mission trip to Africa, and serves as a Communications Lead for the church. She is also a member of the National Sports Media Association and Association for Women in Sports Media. In her spare time, she teaches dance classes, hosts mentoring sessions for aspiring female sports professionals, and brunches in Atlanta because…well…it’s a thing!
